Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science with specialization in Genetics at Universidad de la Habana, Cuba.
She has more than 30 years of experience working in patent matters. Olga is an expert from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in patent drafting matters and cooperates with this organization in training courses for Latin America since 2008 until now, in the Biotechnology area.
She has co-authored of books and manuals regarding Industrial Property, such as “WIPO Strategic Patent Filing Exercise Book” (2012) and “Handbook of Best Practices for Management of Intellectual Property in Health Research and Development” (2003) and she has also participated in many international events related to patents and training courses for professionals in Industrial Property area, both in national and international level.
In her teaching experience it highlights her role as tutor of the distance learning program from WIPO (2008 until now); as associate professor of Diploma Course in Industrial Property of the Cuban Office of Industrial Property; as professor of the modules of Inventions, Utility Models, Innovation and Transfer of Technology of the master's degree in Intellectual Property at Universidad de las Américas, Ecuador (2011, 2012) and the course “Patents and Legislation” of the Universidad de Chile (2016, 2017).
